The Real Quest of Life

|| Shri Sadguru Prasanna ||

The Real Quest of LIfe –
Learning is an ever green process. It’s a constant flow of knowledge between the disciple and the Teacher (Guru). And when the area of study is spirituality the disciple is known as “sadhak” and the teacher who is the knower and has experienced the true form of existence cannot be referred to as just a teacher (Guru). Such a teacher can only be referred as “Sat-Guru = Sadguru”. The prefix “Sat” denotes the one who is not bound by time, matter and place. One who is truly boundless.  Lucky are those who have experienced the company of such a teacher and have got a chance to understand the secrets of universe through HIM.
But are these secrets really secrets? The answer is No, they are the most obvious rules of existence.
But if they are most obvious then why cannot we see it, feel it and experience it?
Answer to this goes like this: We all are born with a physical body with mental and emotional capabilities. These are the instruments given to us to experience “ Our Divine Form” -  “The Atma Swaroop” . But our instrument that we commonly call as our body and our soul has gone through millions and trillions of experiences which create wrong believes and make us incapable of seeing the obvious. These bundle of believes and experiences are known as “Dharanas”
In our life we struggle through these dharanas. It’s like a drop of ink in a clear water makes it colourfull. Slowly the water starts believing that it has a certain colour. Whereas the water in true form is colourless.  Similarly, we as human beings start collecting thoughts, ideas and forms that surrounding forces on us. Slowly we become extremely comfortable with it. And we define our comfort zones.
So very often motivational speakers use this term that one must move out of one’s comfort zone to achieve its full potential. This holds absolutely true in one’s journey on spiritual path as well. For a sadhak , ultimate aim is to experience her true form – “Atma Swaroop” ,  and comfort zone is all the Dharanas that she has gathered through her journey, not only through one life but through lives after lives. So how to break our Dharanas – or say come out of your comfort zone.
The solution is through three stages:  Identify and observe the Dharanas, start practicing being away from it and ultimately realize that we are much beyond it.
Though the process seems simple but it is absolutely difficult or say impossible without the guidance of a “SadGuru”.
The result of not going through this process of learning and awakening is lots of miseries in lives that we very often see around.
One starts suffering from six diseases - “Shad Ripus “ – Kaam ( lust and desire), Krodh ( anger ), Lobh ( greed), Moh ( attachement), Mad ( Arrogance) and Matsar ( Jealousy).
And is thrown away from experiencing the true happiness (Anand ) of the Real Form “ Atma Swaroop” .
So the first quest in life is to find an able GURU “SadGURU” to guide you through. From there starts the journey of a sadhak.
